Learn the signs and symptoms of dyslexia; how it is evaluated; how it affects reading, writing and math; and the specific instruction and help your child may need. Presenting will be Dr. Margie Gillis, Ed.D., president of North Haven-based Literacy How, which specializes in translating “gold standard” literacy research into practice at all levels, with an emphasis on PreK to Grade 3. Dr. Gillis is also a research affiliate at both Fairfield University and at Haskins Laboratories, a New Haven-based nonprofit research institute that focuses on speech, language, and reading and their biological basis.

Sponsored by the Stratford SEPTA. Stratford SEPTA (special education PTA) is for families, educators, and friends who want to support and learn from each other — as well as celebrate the uniqueness, abilities, and potential of ALL children.
